Come out this Thursday at 6:30 for another awesome paint night at Victory Church in Fort Erie, where I'll be leading a candle painting demo that anyone can do, it's just a fun evening out where most people have little to no painting experience. It's just $10 to cover the cost of supplies, but let me know if you are coming so we know how many to set up for.

Here's something interesting to get you thinking about art: Below is a painting based on Psalm 23 that I did during Sunday morning service two weeks ago, and the one below that is a second version of it that I've been working on as a more detailed oil painting. I spent 30 minutes on the first one, and 5ish hours so far on the second one. They are both 18x24". Can you spot the differences? Do you prefer one over the other and why?

Have a great day!

Painted live during worship today at Victory church in Fort Erie, Canada.

Jesus stands guard for us so we are able to rest.

The symbols in this painting came from Psalm 23:

"The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.

He makes me lie down in green pastures,

he leads me beside quiet waters,

he refreshes my soul…"

The figure with the staff also reminds us of Moses, who God used to lead the Israelites to freedom.
