A rose bush this time of year appears dead, but if we wait is transformed into a thing of exquisite beauty.  The image of the thorns and tangles is separated from a field of roses by a profile view of a woman praying. Like the rose bush, if we patiently seek the Lord he transforms us.

“It is like a mustard seed, which is the smallest of all seeds on earth. Yet when planted, it grows and becomes the largest of all garden plants, with such big branches that the birds can perch in its shade.”

Mark 4:31-32 NIV

And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.

2 Corinthians  3:18 NIV
