The imagery in this painting represents the moment a person's heart stops and the spirit is released into the afterlife.
This is how I see entering heaven: The evergreen tree represents the soul. This life is full of struggle like the heartbeat line of black trees on the lower left, but when we get to heaven we are released from the restrictions of the body and resurrected free and full in God's kingdom.
Oil and acrylic on canvas. Original and prints available.
Gallery depth canvas 1.5; edges painted as a continuation of the painting. Includes Certificate of Authenticity. Varnished and ready to hang; additional framing not included. Prints also available:
- High quality giclee prints on your choice of paper or canvas - Printed on demand, please allow 1-2 weeks plus shipping - Paper prints are made using acid free archival quality paper - Canvas prints are stretched on 1 inch stretcher frame, black edges, ready to hang - Archival quality fade-resistant inks - Framing not provided
*Copyright/watermark does not appear on the originals or prints.
