Jesus Christ is seated and looks smiling at the viewer, surrounded by golden multitudes of saints and angels in joyful worship. He wears a glorious crown and golden sash, and holds a sceptre. The surrounding light forms a sickle, showing that it is harvest time. Beneath the king are large dark thorns: the evil of this world backs away under the power of goodness and love. There are many scripture references to back up the imagery shown in the painting; here are a couple of my favourites:

"Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up." Galatians 6:9 NIV

John's vision in Revelation 14:14, "I looked, and there before me was a white cloud, and seated on the cloud was one like a son of man with a crown of gold on his head and a sharp sickle in his hand."

The original painting is 24x24 inches, oil on stretched canvas, 1.5 inch depth with edges painted black; includes Certificate of Authenticity. Varnished and ready to hang; additional framing not included.
