Acrylic on stretched canvas .75" and framed with black wood float-style frame, ready to hang. Painting is varnished and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity. The painting is 20x20 inches, and the frame adds approximately 1.25 inch on each side.
The painting illustrates Exodus 3 in the Old Testament, the moment where God speaks to Moses on Mount Horeb, giving him instructions for leading the Israelites out of captivity in Egypt.
It's often in quiet, unexpected moments when we least expect it that God shows up in our lives.
Exodus 3:2-5 describes Moses' dramatic encounter like this,
"There the angel of the Lord appeared to him in flames of fire from within a bush. Moses saw that though the bush was on fire it did not burn up. So Moses thought, “I will go over and see this strange sight—why the bush does not burn up.”When the Lord saw that he had gone over to look, God called to him from within the bush, “Moses! Moses!” And Moses said, “Here I am.” “Do not come any closer,” God said. “Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy ground.”
