This painting is #9 in my series on Proverbs, and the imagery comes from verses 1-6 (below) where Wisdom invites everyone to her house for dinner. I've tried to show this by picturing us as simple little wild birds coming to the bird feeder to find food, an easier way to live in winter.

Wisdom has built her house;
    she has set up[a] its seven pillars.
2 She has prepared her meat and mixed her wine;
    she has also set her table.
3 She has sent out her servants, and she calls
    from the highest point of the city,
4     “Let all who are simple come to my house!”
To those who have no sense she says,
5     “Come, eat my food
    and drink the wine I have mixed.
6 Leave your simple ways and you will live;
    walk in the way of insight.”

THE DAILY PROVERBS PROJECT

A painting every day in January 2018, to represent something from each of the 31 chapters of the Old Testament book of Proverbs.

The purpose is to discover wisdom through creative new visual images that represent God's word. I hope that you will take a moment to view the painting and quote, and think about what God might be saying. Please help support this unique ministry through prayer, spreading the word, and considering purchasing a painting or print.
